Arisina Berina Gojju #Freshturmeric Gojju #turmericroot chutney


Ingredients
  • Fresh turmeric roots - 2 roots ( 2 to 21/2 inch sized each)
  • Freshly grated coconut - 3/4th cup
  • Red chilies- 3 to 4
  • Tamarind - small lemon sized
  • Jaggery powder - 2 tbsp
  • Oil - 3-4 tbsp
  • Curry leaves - 4 to 5
  • Urad dal - 1/4 tbsp
  • Mustard seeds - 1/4 tbsp
  • Salt as per taste
  • Water for grinding
Method
  1. Wash fresh turmeric roots and peel off the skin. Chop them thinly
  2. Add a spoon of oil to pan and fry chopped turmeric pieces in oil for about 4 to 5 min or till they become little crispy.
  3. Switch off the flame and chilies to pan
  4. Transfer it to mixer jar add coconut, tamarind and jaggery. And grind them to a coarse paste by adding water little by little.
  5. Add 2 spoon of oil to pan and add grounded mixture and cook it for about 4 to 5 minutes. Don’t forget to add salt while its cooking.
  6. Transfer it to a serving bowl and season it with urad dal+ mustard seeds+ 🌶 + curry leaves!
You can serve it with hot rice/chapati/akki rotti/ jowar bhakri 😊
