Ingredients
  • Brahmi leaves - 12 to 15
  • Black pepper - 6 to7
  • Cumin seeds - 1/2 tbsp
  • Freshly grated coconut - 3 to 4 tbsp
  • Ghee - 1 tbsp
  • Buttermilk - 2 cups / whisked curd - 1 cup
  • Water for grinding
  • salt
  • jaggery

Method


  1. Wash freshly plucked Brahmi leaves
  2. Roast black pepper, cumin seeds in ghee
  3. Grind grated coconut and roasted spices and Brahmi leaves together in a mixer grinder by adding water
  4. Strain the grounded mixture and add buttermilk/whisked curd to the strained juice
  5. Add jaggery and salt as per taste and mix well. 
  6. Healthy Brahmi Tambuli is ready to serve with steamed rice
